Two people were arrested May 7 on various drug-related charges after a traffic stop at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Twiddy Avenue.

Amy Marie Correia, of Walker Street, Edenton, was arrested at 10:13 a.m. May 7 on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. A hearing was set for June 3.

Jeremi De-Lonta Holley of White Street, Hertford, was also arrested at the same traffic stop. Holley was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out of Wake County for an incident on April 27. A secured bond of $2,500 was set with a hearing set for May 23 at Wake County Justice Center, Raleigh.

The arrests were made after a Cary resident notified Wake County officers that a 2018 Subaru Outback was taken without permission. A BOLO – Be On the Lookout – report was issued.

Among the items seized from the vehicle were two metal smoke pipes, two plastic smoke pipes, one metal smoke pipe stuffer, a purple and white colored pouch and a dark-colored glass smoke pipe.

Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office

David Owens, of Dobbs Street, Hertford, was arrested on April 26 on charges of disorderly conduct and damage to personal property. A secured bond of $10,000 was set.

Valerie Moore, of Edenton Road, Hertford, was arrested on April 26 on a misdemeanor charge of larceny. An unsecured bond of $500 was set.

Edenton Police Department

Gabriel Jourdain, of Punch Bowl Road, Hobbsville, was arrested May 8 on a misdemeanor charge of stalking. An unsecured bond of $3,000 was set. Jourdain is next scheduled to appear in court on June 3.

Mitchell Lee Anthony White, of Oakum Street, Edenton, was arrested May 5 on misdemeanor charged of hit and run/leaving the scene and driving while license revoked.

Raymond Lee Silverthorne, homeless, was arrested May 3 on a misdemeanor charge of injury to personal property at the Food Lion, 300 Virginia Road, Edenton. According to the incident report, Silverthorne is accused of throwing eight planters containing flowers, worth $96, at the store’s front door at 4:19 a.m. May 3. The plants were damaged during the incident. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Silverthorne is next expected in court on June 3.

Lloyd Clifton Littlejohn Jr., of Pruden Street, Edenton, was arrested on May 2 on a charge of financial transaction card fraud. According to a police report, Littlejohn took $1,501.78.

The theft of an iPhone — valued at $300 — was reported on May 2 at the police department.

Alonzo Unthank, of Burnt Mill Road, Edenton, was arrested on April 19, on misdemeanor charges of assault on a female and communicating threats. According to an incident report, Unthank was driving near the Chowan County Courthouse on Broad Street while holding on to the victim’s hair. The victim was a Hertford resident.

Ebony McLeod, of Gale Street, Edenton, was charged and arrested during an April 17 traffic stop. According to the report, McLeod was driving a 2022 GMC Terrain when the vehicle his another vehicle near the intersection of East Freemason Street and Coke Avenue. McLeod was accused of failing to heed blue lights and siren, driving while impaired and possessing marijuana and open alcohol containers. McLeod faces charges of DWI, driving while license revoked, hit and run/failed to stop for property damage, failure to pull over to the right side of the road for police, resisting an officer, open container, possession up to 1/2 ounce of marijuana and unsafe movement.

Haroun Alghaithi, of Rocky Hock Road, Edenton, was cited on April 15 for passing a stopped school bus, a misdemeanor.

Belinda Stanley, of Old Hertford Road, Edenton, was arrested in April 11, on charges of second-degree trespass, resisting an officer, and communicating threats. According to the report, Stanley went to Swain Apartments and remained on the property after trespassing. She also communicated threats and resisted a public officer.
