SUBMITTED REPORT
The Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library is pleased to announce the availability of free Disaster Preparedness Go-Kits. These kits contain FEMA-recommended supplies for a natural disaster situation, and are designed to serve as a foundation for a household’s emergency preparedness plan.
Available to Chowan County residents, the Go-Kits are available for distribution at the Library. Participants must bring proof of Chowan County residency and complete a brief survey to receive a Go-Kit. Supplies are limited, and kits are distributed on a one-per-household basis.
Special thanks to Apex Clean Energy’s Timbermill Wind Grant, the Town of Edenton, Chowan County Emergency Management, and Byrum’s Hardware Company for making these kits possible.
For information about the Go-Kits, stop by the Shepard-Pruden
Memorial Library’s front desk or call us at (252) 482-4112.
