Since I live on East Church Street in Edenton, I saw the first responders — fire trucks, ambulances, law enforcement — drive by around 12ish or so Sunday. From what I’ve been told by sources near and far, there was a bad car crash nearish to Haughton Road in the southern end of Chowan County as you’re headed to the Sound bridge.

I don’t have any details and unlike drive-by mainstream media outlets, I’m not going to bother first responders with questions while they are busy doing their jobs. That said, as soon as I have more information, I’ll pass it along to our readers.

Thank you Miles. We heard the sirens and several of our first responders beepers began to go off so they left quickly from church.
And thank you for simply asking for prayer. We don’t need to know the details- just that spiritual help is needed.
I believe this was the crash I was first on scene at going to my in laws. My family was driving as the crash happened, we pulled up and I hopped out. I’m a SAHM and Nurse. was it a White van? 8 passengers? solo crash?
