EDENTON — John A. Holmes High School celebrated Prom on Saturday at Edenton United Methodist Church.

Pictures tell the story more than I can with words — see our gallery below.

Prom’s theme was Arabian Nights.

Dresses — lots of red, blue and sparkles. Gents — looked dapper in nice suits.

Other takeaway — a chauffeur laid out a red carpet; lots of photos were taken of various prom goers; parents were present to straighten ties and such.

Principal Sonya Rinehart and many familiar faces — teachers, staff and even one very cool substitute teacher — welcomed Aces’ promgoers.

Last word to promgoers: be smart, be safe and if there is an “after party” — don’t do anything stupid.
