Five new businesses will open this weekend in downtown Edenton.

Kraken, which has three locations in northeastern North Carolina, will be open from 6 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Sunday. The coffeehouse is the latest location for the business that first opened in Elizabeth City three years ago.
