Edenton Police

  • Ny’zeriah J. Rountree, 26, of Edenton, was charged with first-degree trespassing and communicating threats on May 4.  
  • Aaliyah Wolfe, 20, of Edenton, was charged with communicating threats on May 4.
  • Tristan W. Hughes, 28, of Windsor, was charged with fleeing/eluding law enforcement in a motor vehicle (a felony), expired registration tag, reckless driving/wanton endangerment, speeding, failing to heed to light or siren, unsafe passing in a solid yellow line and driving left of center after an incident on April 28. 
  • According to the incident report, Hughes was driving a 2010 Infiniti G37 on East Church Street at a high rate of speed while fleeing law enforcement at 9:42 a.m. April 28, 2026. 
  • Amber Allen, 42, of Hertford, was charged with breaking and entering and taking items (black safe, mixed tools, 2 televisions, antique coins and 9mm ammunition) from a rental storage unit on May 4 on Old Hertford Road.   
  • Le’Asia Reenia Stanely, 23, Tyler Lane of Edenton, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on May 5 after an incident on Old Hertford Road. According to the incident report, Stanely used a firearm to attack someone at a residence on the 200-block of Old Hertford Road. Police seized a firearm, grilling fork and a metal fork with a wooden handle at the scene.

Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office

  • Sytez Warren, of Wynne Fork Road, Hertford, was arrested on May 1, 2026, on charges of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling/vehicle, discharging a firearm within town limits, injury to personal property and going armed to terrorize people. No bond was set.
  • Shakeyma Smith, of Wynne Fork Road, Hertford, was arrested on May 2, 2026, on charges of breaking and entering and damage to personal property. Smith was placed on a 48-hour hold.
  • Michael Wiggins, of Ansley Road, Hertford, was arrested on May 3, 2026, on a charge of simple assault. A $500 secured bond was set.
  • Maria Midgett, of Morris Circle, Edenton, was arrested on May 4, 2026, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. A $16,000 secured bond was set.
