Edenton Police recovered several bullet shell casings after a weapon was fired into a home.

According to the incident report, Edenton Police received a call at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 15 of shots fired on Freemason Street. The report redacted whether it was East or West Freemason Street.

The report noted that police found a 10 9-millimeter shell casings, five 10-millimeter shell casings, a brass in color spent projectile at the scene. About $500 in damage was done to the Freemason Street home.

A vehicle involved in the incident was described as a blue, 2023 Dodge Challenger with Virginia license plates.

The incident is still under investigation.

In other matters, an Edenton resident was arrested and charged after threatening an Edenton Police officer on Nov. 1, 2025.

According to the incident report, police responded at 1:32 a.m. Nov. 1, 2025, to a parking lot on the 100 block of Court Street. Andre Terrell Sanders, 40, of Johnston Street, Edenton, was arrested on Court Street at 1:35 a.m.

Sanders was charged with communicating threats, resisting an officer and assault of a government official/employee, all misdemeanors, for an incident involving three Edenton officers. A $5,000 secured bond was set. He was being held at the Chowan County Detention Center.

Markee Montana Chesson, of Tyler Lane, Edenton, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 14, 2025, on a misdemeanor charge of violation of court orders. A secured bond of $40,000 was set. Chesson was confined to the Chowan County Detention Center.

Edenton Police responded to Edenton United Methodist Church, 225 Virginia Road, Edenton, at 5:53 p.m. Nov. 5, 2025, for a call for service. The incident remains under investigation.

Edenton Police conducted a traffic stop at 11:22 p.m. Nov. 11 on West Hicks Street. During the traffic stop of Shkia Denay Beasley, 30, of Happy Home Road, Tyner, officers allegedly seized a Glock 44 and 0.24 ounces of marijuana.

Edenton Police responded to an incident at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 18 on the 300 block of West Queen Street. According to the report, a Town of Edenton vehicle — a 2021 GMC Sierra K250 — was damaged.

Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office

Chayton Culver, 119 Evergreen Drive, Hertford, was arrested on Nov. 14, 2025, on a charge of trespassing. A $500 unsecured bond was set.

Ashley White, of 111 Meads Circle, Hertford, was arrested on Nov. 17, 2025, on nine counts of obtaining property under false pretenses. A $5,000 unsecured bond was set.

Renee Area, of 1328 N. Road St., Elizabeth City, was arrested on Nov. 19, 2025, on a charge of felony possession of a schedule II substance. A $5,000 secured bond was set.

Sean Revals, of 168 Hog Neck Road, Hertford, was arrested on Nov. 19, 2025, on a charge of possession of tobacco by an inmate. He was placed on a 48-hour hold.

Shanae Holley, of 103 Wynne Fork Court, Hertford, was arrested on Nov. 20, 2025, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, injury to real property and communicating threats. An unsecured bond of $1,500 was set.

Jeffrey Allen, 109 Rabbit Run, Hertford, was arrested on Nov. 20, 2025, on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon. A secured bond of $2,500 was set.

Paul Myers, 280 Winfall Blvd., Hertford, was arrested on Nov. 20, 2025, and charged with driving while license revoked, aggressive driving and felony speeding to elude arrest. A secured bond of $20,000 was set.
