2025 NCHSAA Playoff Brackets

Several local teams earned spots in the 2025 North Carolina High School Athletic Association men’s soccer playoffs, with Manteo claiming the top overall seed in 1A East, despite being conference co-champion with No. 4 John A. Holmes. From conference powerhouses to determined underdogs, Northeast North Carolina soccer is well-represented across multiple classifications.

2A Men’s Soccer

Manteo – No. 1 Seed, 2A East (BYE)

The Redskins dominated the 1A East regular season to earn the No. 1 overall seed. Their attacking prowess and defensive discipline earned them a first-round bye and home field advantage throughout the entire playoff run. Manteo is the favorite to make a deep championship push.

First Game: Round 2 on Nov. 6, hosting the winner of Lakewood vs. Southside.

John A. Holmes – No. 4 Seed, 2A East (BYE)

The Aces earned a strong no. 4 seed and a first-round bye. They’ll host a second-round game on Nov. 6, likely against conference rival Gates County if the Red Barons can win their first-round matchup against Rosewood.

First Game: Round 2 on Nov. 6 at home

Camden County – No. 5 Seed, 2A East (BYE)

The Bruins secured a solid No. 5 seed and earned a first-round bye. They’ll host a second-round match on November 6 against the winner of Voyager Academy vs. North Duplin.

First Game: Round 2 on November 6 at home

Gates County – No. 13 Seed, 2A East

The Red Barons face a challenging first-round road matchup as they host No. 20 Rosewood on November 4. If they win, they will travel to face the No. 4-ranked Aces in the second round on Nov. 6.

Perquimans – No. 15 Seed, 2A East

The Pirates drew a tough assignment: a first-round home game against No. 18 Henderson Collegiate on November 4. It the Pirates pull off the win, they’ll play against the No. 2 seed, Franklin Academy on Nov. 6.

3A Men’s Soccer

Northeastern – No. 15 Seed, 3A East

The Eagles will host No. 18 Easter Randolph on Nov. 4. The winner of the game will face No. 2 Wallace-Rose Hill in the second round.

4A Men’s Soccer

First Flight – No. 5 Seed, 4A East (BYE)

Frist Flight will have a first-round bye. The team will face the winner of the No. 12 Ledford-No. 21 Eastern Wayne game in the second round, Nov. 6.

5A Men’s Soccer

Currituck County – No. 10 Seed, 5A East

The Knights enter the 5A playoffs as a No. 10 seed and will host No. 23 West Carteret on Nov. 4. If Currituck wins, they will travel to face No. 7 Southeast Alamance in second-round action on November 6. The matchup is close on paper, giving Currituck a real chance to advance.
