COLUMBIA – Tyrrell County Library is excited to announce a new partnership with The Depot NC to launch the Books-A-Mini program, designed to keep children engaged in reading from the first day of school to the last.

Children can visit the Tyrrell County Library, 414 Main St., Columbia to pick up a Books-A-Mini coupon and start reading. For each book read, they complete a short survey and receive a stamp on their coupon. Once they collect eight stamps, they can redeem the coupon at The Depot NC for a free personal pizza or ice cream.

“There’s no limit to how many coupons a child can earn,” said Branch Librarian Lynda J. Mastronardo. “Our goal is to keep kids excited about reading, visiting the library, and exploring new stories all year long. Thanks to The Depot NC, they’ll also have a delicious reward waiting at the finish line.”

The Books-A-Mini program is open to all children and runs throughout the 2025–2026 school year.
