PLYMOUTH — Folks are invited to a Candidate Meet & Greet between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at 113 Washington Street in downtown Plymouth. The event offers voters a chance to speak directly with local candidates ahead of the upcoming election.

Organized under the banner “Vote for the Future,” the gathering encourages civic engagement and informed decision-making. Community members are expected to attend and ask questions on key issues. The event is free and open to the public. For those interested in local politics, this is a valuable opportunity to connect with those seeking elected office.
Local elections matter – don’t believe me? Sooner or later Plymouth Town Council is poised to consider how to to pay for a $1.56 million custom rescue vehicle, which will likely require a property tax increase — perhaps as much as 13 cents on $100 of assessed value — $130 for every $100,000.
Not sure which local candidates will attend, but here is a reminder about the folks who will be on the ballot in November:
