Two vehicle accidents delayed traffic Monday in Northeastern North Carolina.
In Tyrrell County, the North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a collision between an 18-wheeler truck and a tractor that occurred Monday morning by the intersection of Riders Creek Road and US 94, about a mile outside Columbia. The truck’s driver was taken to the hospital. Traffic in both directions was backed up as first responders cleared the scene.
Around mid-day Monday, a bad wreck reported by the trash dump right before Brayhall Road in Chowan County.
