Dr. Vashti Ramphal has been practicing Internal Medicine for more than four years. Her expertise lies in diagnoses and treatment, while taking a holistic approach to patient care and uncovering the root causes of pathology. Originally from Yonkers, New York, Dr. Ramphal served in the United States Army for three years where she earned The Army Commendation Medal and was honorably discharged. She attended the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Following medical school, she completed her residency at CarePoint Health Medical Center in Bayonne, N.J., where she also served as Chief Resident during her tenure.
Dr. Ramphal believes in the principles of the six dimensions of wellness as a pathway to better health, longevity, vitality, and overall improvement in health. She is a strong advocate for the Mediterranean Diet and Blue Zones lifestyle, which is known for its emphasis on healthy eating, physical activity, social interaction, stress reduction, and purpose.
Dr. Ramphal was recently recognized as an ECU Health Patient Choice Award winner. She remains humble about the honor and acknowledges that the dedication and hard work of her team was an important part of receiving the award.
