Today, we are proud to announce the launch of the Albemarle Observer podcast. This podcast will make some of our articles more accessible to the community and offer a more complete look at the issues and concerns of Northeastern North Carolina.

The podcast is based on our articles. It uses voices created by artificial intelligence — and sometime us — to summary information in our articles. We will publish each podcast on the website and provide links to eat and voices created by artificial intelligence. We’re working on helping it learn how to use the regional pronunciations of some words.

We hope you enjoy it.

This episode, which features a summary of news from Feb. 5-9 and upcoming events, is a test run. We plan to publish the podcast on a semi-weekly basis.
