Over 50 runners, walkers, and bicyclists took to the streets of Edenton to participate in the 10th annual Turkey Trot on Thursday. Participants were asked to bring either food or snack donations to the Community School Snack Program.

Prior to the race, Nichole Hughes, who helped her daughter Maycee Hughes found the program, told participants that the event was the help the program and to promote physical fitness.

The program provides snacks to children at White Oak and D.F. Walker Elementary Schools.
